We are happy to announce this first mutual support group under the Gergina Foundation. The group is launched with the aim of providing a space for the sharing of experiences and the chance to learn from and support each other. To be brave and grow together.
The group is open to people at different stages and points of the oncological journey – diagnosis, treatment, and post-treatment. Most importantly, it is an integral group, open to the sharing of multiple paths and experiences with different treatment modalities.
- This is a place where people can talk about and work through the feelings and challenges they experience, with others who have a first-hand experience with cancer. They can encounter similar, or radically different experiences and journeys – everything belongs and helps us expand our own perceptions.
- No matter your experience, we encourage open expression and support you in navigating the emotional journey and connecting with your own intuition and healing resources, with grace and gentleness.
- The group is also a space for discussing practical information, including different types of treatment and healing– what to expect and what it all takes; how to find additional resources and support services, and how to communicate with healthcare providers and family members.
We hope to create a community that fosters a sense of belonging and helps each person feel more understood and less alone. And to foster a sense of increased awareness and agency in navigating the cancer journey in the most authentic way for each person.
The group is open and free of charge. The group meets online weekly on Wednesdays, from 16:30- 18:00 EET. We also foresee regular in-person gatherings, the information for which will be communicated separately.
The group meets in Bulgarian. English groups will also be launched soon.
Please register your interest by writing us, and in order to receive the zoom link.
The group is professional-led, by hosts Nataliya Kardzhlyiska and Mariya Petkova.
